Extending School Hours

     One of the hottest topic in school is the proposal to lengthen the day .School officials wants to extended school an extra hour a day. The administration must really look at this plan before enacting it. To many, it seems logical to keep the day as it is. Extra hours means extra pay  for employees and school upkeep. Also, students will return home late, and finally, this will take time from extra curricular activities.

    With increased hours spent in schools, teachers would expect more pay for their work. No only teacher, but also custodians, secretaries and other support staff would demand increases. With the extended day comes more time that the heat, electricity, and water must be used. Where could the school systems come up with this money? Schools already have money problems, why add chaos?

     Safety is also an issue. Come wintertime, students would be arriving and leaving school in dark, which would make it difficult for parents, and require a better bus system, which would also cost more money. Come summertime, there would be a need for air- conditioning because of the heat that plagues the classrooms.

      The one change that would most disturb the students concerns after-school teams and activities. If school end at 3:31 and, and others 4:30, it would be almost impossible to have interscholastic meets.

      For All these reasons I truly Believe that, Education leaders should Reconsider their upcoming decisions and, find another approach.

                                              School Uniforms Should Be Banned

                Do you think uniforms are reasonable? Lots of parents and school officials says that they help us focus on our work. Others believe people are trying to control what we wear. After i looked at what everyone had to say, It would seem that uniforms should be BANNED!!!! 

         When I look at the school officials and parents points of view, I see they are more focused on authority. With kids not wearing uniforms, they believe we will focus more on our appearance. They will worry who has the most expensive clothes to whose very poor. How will students get they work done? For that exact reason, parents believe kids should wear uniforms. 

            I disagree. In school there is always something that distract students from doing their work. Why should Uniforms be singled out? Kids should be trusted to take responsibility for their own education. Uniforms takes back the purpose of self expression. When people look at other people in uniforms everyone is the same. If the saying is "BE YOURSELF" , we shouldn't be forced to dress alike.

          For all these reasons, uniforms should not be required. If its such a big deal on what we wear, maybe they should consider a dress code. With that being said, we as students can choose what to wear while authority still play their roles.

Okay these four companies seem to be on about the same level (meaning perception wise) as the other they have all come out with new scents recently. Prada Infusion D'Homme, Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme, Versace Pour Homme and Armani Emporio Diamonds. Now I think it is a forgone conclusion that of the four companies Gucci has the best scents so far................but of the four new scents how would you here at basenotes rank them from best to worst and also what category would you put each scent in?
